Wednesday Poetry Café (August 4)

I’m not normally one for haiku poems, but I thought I’d include one this week.  For those who don’t know, a haiku is s a form of Japanese poetry, consisting of 17 moras (or on), in three phrases of 5, 7, and 5 moras respectively.  The haiku I have chosen for this week is by Etsujin.  While it is simple, it is quite catchy.  Enjoy!

Covered with the flowers,

Instantly I’d like to die

In this dream of ours!

Again, I’m not a big haiku fan, but I know some are so I thought you would enjoy this one.
